Item #MP-17.6: Shimano dust caps are very fragile, so this reusable dust cap (by Morningstar Tooling Products) comes in handy on an occasion when it is necessary to remove a dustcap; this one fits all Shimano cassette hubs with two hard plastic, piston ring type seals on the axle cone. It can be easily removed and installed in a Shimano freehub body using just your fingers. For drive side only. (Since Shimano dust caps tend to be fragile, we recommend having a reusable replacement dust cap on hand if you are using the Morningstar Freehub Buddy. See our item MP-FHB1.)
