Description
This pre index shifting and pre 1985 downtube shift lever screw works with older Shimano bosses which did not have a square base; also, the shift levers did not have a concave boss cover that went between the downtube and the back side of the shift lever. Since 1985 Shimano has used 5mm rather than this smaller 4.5mm diameter screw.
