Description
A good use for this axle is for converting a Shimano quick release rear hub to a solid axle hub; both have 10mm x 1mm threading. If you need to replace a solid rear axle, first determine its threading. Take a nut from the solid axle you wish to replace. If the nut will thread onto a Shimano quick release rear axle, then the solid axle the nut came from has 10mm threading. If it will not thread onto the quick release rear axle, then the solid rear axle the nut came from has 38 x 26tpi threading, which is slightly smaller.
